North Carolina’s top promotion returns as Fight Lab 44 goes down at the Ft. Bragg Army base in its home state. In the headlining contest, Nick Grady (2-1) will take on William Brown (0-0, 10-5 am) in a light heavyweight bout. Like many fighters on the card, both competitors have ties to Ft. Bragg, including Grady, who is a Staff Sergeant at the base.
Grady was last in action in November, when he submitted Tommy Dibernardo in the first round at Fight Lab. Brown will be making his professional debut on the strength of four wins in his last six amateur fights, including a win at the last Ft. Bragg event, Fight Lab 37 last June.
In the night’s other pro bout, a pair of South Carolina fighters will square off as Nate Kiser (0-0, 3-2 am) takes on Derrick Brown (1-1).
