Asheville’s Hi-Wire Brewing to open a taproom in Norwood

Cincinnati beer drinkers will soon be able to taste a bit of beer from the brewery Mecca of Asheville, North Carolina soon, as Hi-Wire Brewing announced that they will open a taproom in the upcoming Factory 52 development in Norwood.

The $100 million development from PLK Communities is repurposing the former U.S. Playing Card property in Norwood.

The Asheville brewery opened in 2013, and since then has expanded to include taprooms in Durham and Wilmington in North Carolina, as well as Knoxville and Louisville. They also have a planned taproom in Charlotte opening soon.

The new Cincinnati taproom will feature a 5,800 square foot taproom on the ground floor with 24 taps, as well as a 3,800 square foot roof deck with 12 more taps. The space will also feature a large outdoor patio area.

Hi-Wire has won awards at Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup and is known for approachable IPAs like their Hi-Pitch Mosaic IPA and Lo-Pitch Hazy IPA as well as their 10W-40 Imperial Stout.
