Little Miami Brewing Company opened in Milford in December 2017, crafting itself as a “neighborhood” brewery that will focus on the taproom experience rather than distribution. Little Miami is unique in that owners Dan Lynch and Joe Brenner built the building from ground up to be a brewery, placing it snugly in Milford with little to no direct competition. Lynch and Brenner did a lot of things right with their brewery, including hiring an experienced head brewer to produce top quality product on day one.
The brewery also expanded in 2020 with a rooftop patio, to go along with their nice selection of beers and brick-oven pizzas.
Must-try beer: Earth Cookie (Brown Ale) – I’m a sucker for a good brown ale, and Earth Cookie is very solid. Maybe my favorite thing about this beer is the rich mahogany color, and it gets 2 points just for the beautiful way it looks in a glass. It’s got just enough of a hint of chocolate and coffee to be dangerous. Just imagine drinking one of these sitting and watching the Little Miami River roll by on a beautiful fall day.
