Woodburn Brewing
2800 Woodburn Ave, East Walnut Hills (closed)

If I wanted to build my perfect taproom experience, it would probably look a lot like Woodburn Brewing (formerly The Woodburn Brewery), which opened in East Walnut Hills in 2016.
After a tumultuous run, the brewery was purchased by March First Brewing in 2020. The taproom reopened with a slight name tweak and with similar beers in 2021. In 2022, a full kitchen with an Asian flare was added to the taproom, as well as an expanded patio and outdoor beer garden.
In April 2025, March First announced that they have temporarily closed Woodburn Brewing to facilitate staffing needs at their Cincinnati Distilling bottle shop in Monroe. They also announced that the future of the taproom is unclear at this point. In June 2025 the brewery was reportedly listed as for sale, so it appears to be permanently closed under the March First ownership.
Must-try beer: Solo (Coffee Blonde) – Formerly known as “Han Solo.” I’ve gotta admit that I’m a little surprised that this style hasn’t become all the rage, as it’s a unique offering with the flavor of a coffee stout and the body of a blonde ale. Some may call this a basic white girl beer that is in the same category as pumpkin spice lattes, but it is one of my favorite Cincinnati beers.
Other great beers: Valravn Chocolate Cherry Stout
