Streetside Brewery
4003 Eastern Ave. Columbia Tusculum
Streetside Brewery opened in October 2016 in Columbia Tusculum, and have since become a mainstay in the neighborhood. Owner and head brewery Garrett Hickey is always coming up with something fun and special, such as a beer that tastes like cereal milk, a beer made with Holtman’s donuts, and some of the best New England and milkshake IPAs this side of the East End tracks. Streetside offers cans regularly and is always open to collaborate, so they’re never short of fun new offerings.
Their brewery is open and has a really nice (dog-friendly) patio, so you should probably try to hit them up on a nice day if you can. The patio was expanded in 2022, giving them one of the best indoor-outdoor spaces in the city. They also have their own food truck on site, and you can order food directly from Craft Burger Bros. directly from your seat.
They’ve become known for their New England IPAs and barrel-aged stouts, but they are also great at making fruit beers such as Raspberry Beret. They also have an underrated lager program and have won multiple medals for Black Cats, their English Brown Ale.
Must-try beer: Raspberry Beret (Berliner Weisse) – Streetside is one of the more underrated breweries in Cincinnati, and although they don’t typically comply to the ‘mainstream’ of craft beer, they produce some unique beers and everything they do is done well. Case in point is Raspberry Beret, a 2016 King of Ohio Best of Show winner that is tart and crushable. The beer also won gold medals at the 2020 and 2022 US Open Beer Championship.
Other great beers: Suh, Brah? (NE IPA), Return of the Mac (coffee blonde ale), Demogorgon (Imperial Stout)
