Fibonacci Brewing Co., which opened in 2015 in Mount Healthy in a former flower shop, is taking staying local and being sustainable to the next level. The brewery regularly includes fresh, local ingredients in their beers, and you can taste it in their offerings.
They like to focus on non-traditional styles and have a little bit of something for everyone. For example, their most popular beer is Tollhouse (7.9%), a strong roasted coffee stout with a hint of chocolate.
The brewery has also done some fun unique things outside of beer, including opening an Airbnb on their expanded property and housing a pair of goats to help start their urban farm.
Must-try beer: Mulberry Grove (Sour Ale) – Mt. Healthy’s Fibonacci is one of the most locally-focused breweries in Cincinnati, and the story behind Mulberry Grove shows just how ‘far’ they’ll go to be local. After asking their neighbors in the area to donate mulberries, they brewed this beer for their first anniversary in 2017. They also teamed up with Urban Artifact for some of their sour wort, making this a fun collaboration between two great breweries.
