3 Points Urban Brewery
331 E 13th St, Pendleton
3 Points Urban Brewery opened in Pendleton in June 2018, continuing the rejuvenation of a “hidden” corner of downtown. If you want to know what 3 Points is all about, you just have to understand the ‘Three Points’ of their personality. Art, Experience, Beer – in that order. The brewery hopes to elevate the idea of what it means to hang out in a brewery, as it doubles as a co-working space that’s open during the day as an alternative to Starbucks.
Don’t expect picnic tables or cornhole at this place. Think lots of open air, artwork and hand crafted furniture, it’s going to be beautiful as well as delicious. As an added bonus, they offer wine and a full bar.
3 Points is owned by Hickory Wald, the same group that owns Pendleton’s Nation Kitchen & Bar, OTR’s Rhinehaus, and The Hannaford in Covington.
Must-try beer: Origami (IPA) – 3 Points is one of the newer kids on the block in Cincinnati, but I’ve got to admit that I’m a fan of their ‘clean’ style of beers. They haven’t produced anything too far out of left field (yet), and all of their beers are easy-drinking and true to style. So far the standout from them for me has been Origami, their IPA. It’s a nice classic West Coast style with a burst of hops and nice tropical flavors.
Other great beers: TCB’N, Gesture 137, Easy Ale
