Cellar Dweller Brewery
2276 US 22, Morrow
Around since 2012, Cellar Dweller Brewery is definitely a unique outlier in the landscape of Cincinnati breweries. For starters, it’s a brewery inside of a winery – Valley Vineyards in Morrow – and doesn’t seem to get much publicity at all.
Another one of the unique offerings of this brewery is their Weekend Cookouts. For $70 per couple, you can grill your own steak or salmon on their outdoor (or indoor) grills, along with sides and two drinks per person.
Their original brewer Steve Shaw left in 2017 to join Wiedemann in St. Bernard, and C.J. Katsetos took over the brewing operations after that. They package and distribute in select locations around Cincinnati and even a little in Dayton as well. They’re also located just off of the Little Miami Scenic Bike Trail.
Must-try beer: Eye Opener (Stout) – Another brewery perhaps overshadowed by the fact that it’s also part of a winery, Cellar Dweller consistently produces some solid beer. A perfect example of that is Eye Opener, their popular hazelnut coffee and cream stout. It definitely lives up to its name with the caffeine boost from the coffee, but it may be an eye closer with its 7.5% ABV.
Other great beers: Jeremiah’s IPA, Hopewell’s Oatmeal Milk Stout
