Gravel Road Brewing Company opened quietly in summer 2023 in the former Rolling Mill space in Middletown.
Carillon head brewer Dan Lauro is the owner and brewer, and his background and history as a brewer using 1850s-style techniques should make for an interesting concept in the new space.
The brewery is currently brewing test batches while they wait for their official license to open as a brewery, including classic styles like cream ale, Kentucky common, and American pale ale.
The Rolling Mill brand is expected to live on, as Gravel Road is expected to brew and serve their gluten-free beers for the Middletown market, at least for the near future.
