Explosive Fight Promotions returns to its home base later this month, as Caged Madness 34 is set to go down at the Tadmore Shrine Center in Akron, Ohio.
The lineup for the amateur event is taking shape, which will be headlined by a light heavyweight title bout featuring Lionel Woods (6-1) vs. Raymond Holls (4-2), which we reported last week.
Now we have the majority of the card set, including a co-headliner that features a middlweight title eliminator. Frankie Festa (3-1) will put his three-fight winning streak on the line when he faces Mike Seibert (3-2) for a shot at the 185-pound title. Festa has earned two of his three victories via submission, while Seibert knocked out Steve Allen in just 50 seconds at Caged Madness 33 last month. After the fight Seibert called for a crack at the middleweight title, and he’ll get that opportunity with a win over Festa.
A grudge match also appears to be brewing in another one of the featured bouts, as veteran Dru Schottenheimer (7-6-1) wil face Fight Club Pittsburgh’s Jake Schilling (6-1). Schottenheimer has been outward in posts on Facebook about his dislike for Schilling, who comes into this bout riding a three-fight winning streak. Schottenheimer knocked out Nate Witkin with one second left in the first round at Caged Madness 32 in his last outing. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for more back and forth between these two rising featherwieght stars.
Caged Madness 34 goes down on February 21 and currently feautres 13 bouts.
