If there’s one storyline here, it’s obviously the showdown between a pair of Kentucky’s two young guns and best prospects, as Isaiah Ferguson (6-0) takes on Joseph Maness (3-0) at 135 pounds. All of Kentucky is seemingly buzzing about this fight, and we could eventually see both guys in the UFC. Not only has neither guy lost as a pro, but they were both also undefeated as amateurs. And it was Gary Thomas’ No. 1 reason to not miss this card.
To go along with that highly hyped fight, this card lives up to its “Night of Champions” moniker with four amateur titles on the line. Chris Hansford (7-5) meets Bryan McDowell (7-6) for the weltweright strap, and these are two guys who won’t be fighting for free much longer. Patrick Cornett (6-3) is also back in action, as he takes on Daniel Blankenship (4-2) for the featherweight title.
