[tps_title]OhioFC XXII: Cook vs. Hilliard[/tps_title]
October 11 – Columbus, OH
Ohio Fighting Championship returns to Columbus with its 22nd event, featuring a pro/am lineup. In the main event, a pair of lightweights will be looking for their first professional win, as Zach Cook (0-1) faces Josh Hilliard (0-1) at 155 pounds. Both fighters dropped their pro debuts for the Pinnacle FC organization, with Hilliard losing a decision to Mike Putnam at Pinnacle FC 5 last November, while Cook was submitted by Eric Bledsoe at Pinnacle FC 7 in May. Both fighters had successful amateur careers, with Cook going 9-6 while Hilliard was 8-4.
The night’s other pro bout features the return of Matt Anderson (1-2) from a gruesome broken leg, as he’ll welcome Canada’s Aaron Jeffery (0-0, 8-1 am) to the pro ranks. Anderson fights for the first time in almost exactly a year, as he suffered the injury against Portland Pringle last October. Jeffery looks to continue his 8-fight winning streak, as he lost his amateur debut and never looked back, including winning the OFC middleweight title with a submission win over Bryan Howe in March.
The event also features 11 amateur bouts, including a heavyweight title fight feature Chris Settles (3-1) taking on John Gardner (5-3).
