Beers and Beards 155: Former Beer Sherpa Danny Ramon

This week former Beer Sherpa Danny Ramon joins us for the entire episode, and he cracks open a barrel-aged beer from St. Arnold. David drinks Ottawata from Jackie O’s, while Gary revisits Rabbit Hole Cavehill.

It’s the 4th of July and what pairs better with fireworks than drinking. Good combo we know.

This week we bring a third into the fold as Texas native Danny Ramon joins us to drink and talk about his days as a beer sherpa in Austin. Fun stories of the beer bus and some solid recommendations for a good time in the area.

Jackie O’s Ottawata is brewed in collaboration with the band Caamp. This infinitely refreshing lager features both German and Ohio grown and malted barley with peppery Czech Saaz and citrusy New Zealand Motueka hops.

Rabbit Hole Cavehill is a four-grain triple malt bourbon that comes in at 95 proof.

A new distillery launches in Morehead, KY as they broke ground this week on Eastern Light Distilling, a $143 million dollar project in Eastern KY.

New Riff celebrates their 10 year anniversary with a limited beer and some cool new bottles.

A fun time was had by all.
