At long last, Listermann Brewing Company is set to have a second location.
It just isn’t the second location that many thought it would be.
After announcing a planned German beer hall in the heart of the Central Business District a few years ago, there had been pretty much no news since.
Now, the Norwood brewery is set to open up a second space just a few blocks from their original location on Dana Ave, as Listermann Trail House will be in the former Delicio Coal Fired Pizza location at the corner of Dana and Montgomery. The space is just steps from the recently completed Wasson Way Trail, and the Trail House name ties in with the bike trail.
The Trail House will offer beer and pizza, with the beer focused on more traditional styles like lagers and ales as opposed to the more experimental offerings at their original location.
The food will be centered around pizza, as they’ll use the same pizza oven that Delicio once used. They’ll also have garlic bread, salad, pretzels, and beer cheese.
Listermann also plans to incorporate bike racks and other decor to be bike- and family-friendly.
The original Listermann taproom opened in 2008 after Dan Listermann opened his homebrew supply in the 1990s. The homebrew supply store is still open, and the Listermann taproom has become a popular place for Xavier basketball games and more.
