MMA fighter Levi Rose has been killed in a head on crash near his home in New Castle in Randolph County in Indiana, according to a report from The Star Press.
Rose was apparently driving in a closed stretch of the state highway that was open only to local traffic when he collided with another car that was driving on the same closed stretch of road. Apparently both cars had driven around a barricade that was up to block all but local traffic from entering the highway.
Rose, who was 22, competed in 18 amateur bouts from 2011-2014, posting a 9-9 record. He competed for multiple notable organizations, including Missouri’s Fight Hard MMA, Midwest Fight Series, Art of War, Colosseum Combat, King of the Cage, and XFO.
His most recent fight was last November in Missouri, when he submitted Jordan Collins with a triangle choke in the first round.
