Warped Wing is Dayton’s largest brewery, and they’ll become a part of the Cincinnati brewery scene when they officially open their third location in Mason in the fall of 2021.
Warped Wing is set to open in the space that was formerly Basil’s on Market – it was set to become a brewery known as Off the Rails Brewery before the pandemic hit and the owners decided to shutter the entire operation. The site sits at the corner of Tylersville Rd and State Route 42.
One person’s loss is another’s gain, as Warped Wing will now be able to provide a quick turnaround to open in just a few short months. The 13,000 square foot space will be turned into a taproom with an outdoor biergarten, a small pilot brewing system, and eventually an event space.
The location is set to offer a full dining experience, similar to that of their Barrel Room & Smokery location in Springboro. Warped Wing opened their downtown Dayton location in 2014 and the Springboro location in 2020. The brewery has long distributed its beer to the Cincinnati area, and it is named after the wing warping system invented by The Wright Brothers that helped them create the first airplanes.
