Woodburn Brewing reopening set for this week

Four months after being purchased by March First Brewing, Woodburn Brewing is set to reopen in East Walnut Hills this week.

A grand re-opening is set to take place on Thursday at the brewery’s location at 2800 Woodburn Ave.

A pair of fan favorite Woodburn beers will return for the grand re-opening, as Solo (formerly Han Solo), a coffee blonde, and Valravyn, a chocolate cherry stout, are both back. Solo will also be available in cans. Two new Woodburn beers will also be available, including Encantado, a passionfruit tart ale, and Hydra, a lemondrop double dry hopped IPA.

The tap lineup for the grand reopening will also feature offerings from March First (including their Astra hard seltzer line), and Middletown’s FigLeaf, which March First also owns.

The brewery has also announced that they’ll be bringing back Woodburn’s popular Salmon Shorts, a blonde ale infused with strawberries and rooibos tea, in the future.

The taproom reopens with a new kitchen, more seating, and a lounge. The outdoor patio that was added a couple of years back also returns.

The taproom has been closed since June 2020 when it closed down due to concerns over Covid-19 just weeks after reopening.

It’ll be awesome to see new life for Woodburn, which is one of the best and most relaxed taproom experiences in all of Cincinnati. There’s such a warm, inviting vibe, and it’s a unique part of a neighborhood that is a gem for the city.
