Cincinnati is set to add another craft brewery to its count, as Cartridge Brewing plans a grand opening this weekend.
Cartridge Brewing is located in the Peters Cartridge Factory in Maineville, which is being completely renovated after sitting vacant for decades.
The brewery is a large part of the project, with a 15-barrel brewhouse and a full-service kitchen. The taproom will also feature a full-service bar and wine selections as well.
Owners Kyle and Lindsey Hackbarth, as well as their partners, have been attempting to open the brewery on the historic site for years. Located along the Little Miami River and the Little Miami Bike Trail, it’s a prime location that residents of the Kings Mills area have been excited to see come back to life.
Head brewer Adam Mills joins the team from Michigan, where he is the former brewer at Rockford Brewing Company and Raven Brewing & BBQ and winner of the “Brewer/Brewpub of the Year” award at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival.
Cartridge will have eight to twelve beers on tap at a time, with styles ranging from kettle sours to stouts and pilsners. They’ve also said that rather than say what their core beers will be, they’ll let their customers decide based on feedback of their offerings.
Food service at the taproom will be helmed by Jerry Johnson, who aims to provide an upscale yet approachable pub menu.
The taproom features three main sections: a traditional taproom with a large bar and high-top tables, a traditional dining room, and a conversation area with comfortable seating. They will also operate a patio outside.
Cartridge’s grand opening weekend will be via request/reservation only.
