Cage Fury Fighting Championships returned to Atlantic City on Halloween night, as CFFC 52 featured ten professional bouts including two title fights.
In the main event, lightweight champion Darrell Horcher (12-1) extended his impressive record, dropping challenger Stephen Regman (5-2) with a left hook in the third round and then finishing the fights with shots on the ground.
“The Saint” is likely headed to the UFC with the win, but his next bout may not be for awhile after he suffered a broken arm in the win. The loss is just the second of Regman’s career and the first since his pro debut.
In the co-main event, UFC veteran Nick Pace (7-3) returned from an extended layoff to capture the vacant CFFC bantamweight title with a thid round submission win over Ricky Bandejas (5-1). The Tiger Schulman product has said he’d like to get back to the UFC, but in a deep division, he may need to prove that he can defend his CFFC belt before getting a call back to the Octagon.
On a side note, the New Jersey Atletic Commission experimented with putting judges in soundproof booths for this event. No findings are available yet, but the experiment seems to have gone well.
CFFC 53 takes place on Dec. 4 in Philadelphia, with a main event featuring heavyweight champion Azunna Anyanwu defending against Dan Spohn. Check out the full results from CFFC 52 below.
