IT Fight Series is headed to Dayton later this month, as IT Fight Series 38 takes place at the Action Sports Center on November 21. As previously reported, the main event will feature undefeated Rob Hanna (6-0) making his featherweight debut against Canadian Matt DiMarcantonio with the organization’s 145-pound title on the line.
IT Fight Series recently added four more pro bouts to the November 21 lineup, bringing the night to a total of five bouts.
Making her return to the IT cage will be former world title challenger Jan Finney (7-11), as the Springfield native is set to take on Allanna Jones (2-5) in a women’s bantamweight matchup.
Finney, who took on Cris “Cyborg” for the Strikeforce title in 2010, looks for her first win since that year. Most recently, she dropped her fifth consecutive bout when Marciea Allen took home a unanimous decision in their main event bout in September.
The Michigan native Jones will come in looking to snap a four-fight losing streak, as she has been invovled in some high profile bouts in her career. Most notably, she faced transgender fighter Fallon Fox in 2013. She also has a loss to current UFC No. 1 contender Holly Holm.
Also on the card, Dayton native Anthony Morgan (3-2) will return after a layoff of a year and a half, as he competes for the first time since May 2014. After starting his pro career at 3-0, he dropped back-to-back bouts to George Comer and Andrew Law.
The lightweight will take on Florida product Howard Reece (2-2) at 155 pounds. All four of Reece’s bouts have ended in the first round, and both of his wins are via knockout. Most recently, he was submitted by current “Ultimate Fighter 22” cast member Billy Quarantillo. He will return after a long layoff as that bout took place in 2013.
The night’s other two pro bouts will feature Reggie Merriweather (7-8) vs. Brandon Suber (4-3) and Tray Taylor (1-4) vs. Carlos Yanez (1-0).
Merriweather looks to even his 2015 record in his sixth bout, as he has gone 2-3 thus far this year. Suber fights for the first time since a 2012 loss to Terry Blackwell that snapped a three-fight winning streak.
