After promotion a trio of boxing events over the past year, RISE will make the transition over to MMA, as RISE Fighting IV is set to go down in Montpelier, Ohio this weekend.
The amateur lineup, put together by pro fighter and matchmaker Matt Montalvo, features ten bouts with a wealth of young fighters looking to prove their worth in the cage.
In the main event, featherweights will square off as Tommy Richmond (2-1) takes on the unbeaten Jake Keller (1-0). Richmond won his first two fights last year, but he’s looking to rebound from his first loss at the hands of Mark Carosella in January. Keller will fight for just the second time after making his debut back in 2012.
In the co-feature, super heavyweights will square off as Alex Bowen (2-1) takes on AJ Mattia (1-0). The big boys are always crowd pleasers and this one is sure to excite fans.
RISE Fighting IV will also feature a pair of women’s bouts, as Erin Michaels (0-0) and Mandy Downing (0-0) square off, as well as Sarah Swain (0-1) and Amanda Siders (0-0).
