Professional MMA fighter Dominic Mazzotta‘s family restaurant has been chosen to be featured on an episode of the Food Network show “Restaurant: Impossible.”
Stella’s Restaurant, which is located in the Pittsburgh suburb of New Kensington, underwent a menu revamp and interior remodel for an episode of the reality show that will air on Dec. 3.
The show features celebrity chef Robert Irvine giving input to improve failing restaurants, although those within the know believe the show may have undergone a concept change as Stella’s has been a successful business for some time.
Renovations to the restaurant began at noon last Wednesday and were completed for a re-opening by 7 p.m. Thursday.
Along with being a major part of the family business, Mazzotta is also a successful professional fighter, as he has garnered national attention as one of the sport’s best prospects. Through nine pro bouts he has amassed an 8-1 record, with his only loss coming to current UFC bantamwight Cody Garbrandt.
Mazzotta is one of the most popular fighters in the Western Pennsylvania area, as the Gladiators of the Cage champion also recently claimed the Pinnacle FC title this past summer with a dominant first round finish of Varon Webb at Pinnacle FC 11.
