Fifty West Brewing Company is set to open a new location, as the Cincinnati-based brewery will open in the $120 million District at Deerfield development in Deerfield Township.
The location, which will co-anchor the development alongside a new location duckpin bowling operation Pins Mechanical Co., will be the fourth for Fifty West. It’ll feature the second location for their popular Burger Bar, which features a unique menu where guests can order a burger, chicken, or veggie burger and top it with state-inspired toppings, like Maryland style (Old Bay, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion) or Ohio style (Cincinnati chili, shredded cheese, mustard, and onion).
The location will be outdoor-centric similar to their flagship Mariemont location, featuring sand volleyball, pickleball, and two large outdoor patios. A small production facility will also be part of the brewery, producing limited run beers.
District at Deerfield is a multi-phase development, and the first phase is already open featuring a hospital medical office and 200-plus unit apartment complex. The second phase, which includes Fifty West and about 85,000 square feet of retail space, will break ground this fall and is expected to be completed by 2024. The development is also designated as a DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area), meaning customers can purchase alcohol and walk around outside.
The future of the craft beer scene in Cincinnati seems to be with breweries opening up multiple locations. Successful breweries like Sonder, HighGrain, 16 Lots, Bircus, Braxton, Fretboard, March First, and Third Eye are expected to open additional locations in the near future.
