Third Eye Brewing has only been open in Sharonville since 2020, but the brewery has quickly gained a reputation as one of the best and fastest-growing in the city. And now, they’ll have even more room to grow as they’re set to open Third Eye Hamilton, a 10,000 sq ft production facility, with hopes to be open in 2023.
The new Third Eye Hamilton production facility will increase their capacity five-fold, from around 2,000 barrels per year to 10,000. The facility will have dedicated space for barrel-aging and will feature a taproom, large covered patio, and a full kitchen.
The new brewery will be located at 850 Erie Blvd in a former Pepsi bottling plant. The location is just off of Ohio 4 in the south part of Hamilton.
Third Eye Brewing has quickly become a fan favorite brewery in Cincinnati, and the beer judges agree. They won Best Small Brewery at the 2021 Ohio Craft Brewer’s Cup and their beer Higher Purpose, a sweet milk stout, has won gold medals at the US Open Beer Championship and Great American Beer Festival. Their kolsch, Untapped Potential, won Best of Show at the 2020 Ohio Craft Brewer’s Cup.
Hamilton is quickly becoming one of greater Cincinnati’s brewing hubs, as Municipal Brew Works has been there since 2016 and has another location planned for Spooky Nook, Fretboard Public House is located on Main Street, and Amp House Brewing is scheduled to open soon.
To celebrate Third Eye joining the Hamilton craft brewery scene, they brewed a “Route 4 Revive-Ale New England IPA” with Municipal.
A founding group, led by father/daughter Tom and Chloe Schaefer, came together to open Sharonville’s first brewery across from the convention center in 2020. There has been buzz around the brewery since before they opened, partially due to the fact that they added Brink Brewing Co. co-founder and head brewer Kelly Montgomery along with Chloe to form the brewing team.
