At long last, the opening of Nine Giant Brewing‘s planned Fermentorium is upon us.
A project that was first announced in 2018, the small Pleasant Ridge is expanding to a second location – right around the corner from their first.
The idea of the Fermentorium is to feature experimental offerings – from barrel-aged delights to tiki cocktails to unique craft beer cocktails.
A grand opening is planned this weekend from April 16-18, and Nine Giant is “coming out of the gate with seven upscale tiki classic cocktails, a handful of very unique barrel aged beers and some one-offs you won’t see around the corner at the brewpub.”
Nine Giant’s brewpub has evolved into something wholly unique, as a family-friendly restaurant that also happens to serve craft beer that was brewed on premise. The feel of this place is more geared toward the drinking experience, and I’m expecting it to have a more classic taproom/bar feel. They are also expected to have an event space available for rent at some point in the future.
The Fermentorium is located at 6111 Ridge Rd in Pleasant Ridge.
