The Fifty West Brewing Company campus is about to get a little bigger.
Fifty West Brewing is set to open the Fifty West Burger Bar next week, which will become the permanent home to its Roadside Grill, and also serve milkshakes, housemade soda, and of course beer.
The burger concept is one of my favorites in Cincinnati. You choose your patty – single, double, Beyond Burger, chicken, or flat-top hot dog – then choose one of a dozen state-inspired styles, such as Colorado Style (spicy green chile salsa, ghost pepper jack cheese, jalapeno) or Utah Style (fry sauce, pastrami, Swiss cheese, pickle). There’s also of course a Cincinnati-inspired Ohio Style, with Cincinnati chili, shredded cheese, mustard, and onion.
The space – which is the former Pizzelli and is adjacent to the Fifty West Production Works – is specifically designed for families, fun, and warm weather. In short, it’s a “nostalgic space that feels more like a roadside rootbeer stand than a brewery.”
There’s also an outdoor beer garden, kids sand court, futsal court, and direct access to the bike trail. It’s basically an extension of their existing location and perfectly on brand for what Fifty West does.
For now, however, it will only be open for carryout until the world is a little less crazy.
