We’ve learned of the first bout added to next weekend’s IT Fight Series 39 event in Zanesville, as welterweights Timmy McCavit (4-2) and Andrew Law (5-4) will square off in a bout that will be pivotal to the careers of both men.

McCavit is coming off of his first loss since his pro debut, as he was stopped by strikes in his bout against Portland Pringle at IT Fight Series 36 in September. Prior to that, the Iron Tiger Fight Team member had won four straight in the first round, with two via knockout and two via submission.

Law comes in looking to start a winning streak, as he snapped a three-fight skid with a submission win over JW Dowler at Fieldhouse Cage Fights in October in West Virginia. This will be Law’s IT Fight Series debut.

“I guess I should let the cat out of the bag….I will be squeezing in another fight before the end of the year,” Law posted on his Facebook page. “My 4th fight of 2015. 3rd fight in four months. Antoher short(er) notice in Zanezville on December 19 for IT Fight Series. As they say, let’s do this sh*t!!”

The bout was expected to serve as the night’s co-main event, but with heavyweight Jason Riley currently without an opponent, it could be bumped to main event status.

IT Fight Series 39 takes place on Dec. 19 at Veterans Hall at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds in Zanesville, Ohio.
