Veteran professional featherweights Frank Caraballo (14-7) and Keith Richardson (14-6) will square off tonight in the main event at RFO: Big Guns 16 – The Summit, but with more than 20 pro fights apiece, each fighter has obviously had highlights up to this point.
Caraballo was one of the hottest fighters in the sport a few years ago, and as the NAAFS featherweight champion was a clear target for the top fighters in the Ohio Valley. He and Antonio Castillo Jr. (8-4) had a war of words on Facebook, and it lead to one of the biggest grudge matches in Ohio MMA history when they squared off in the main event at Fight Night in the Flats 8 in 2012. Caraballo wasted no time in the fight, locking in a rear naked choke in the first round and forcing Castillo to tap to pick up his fifth consecutive victory.
Richardson has won four fights in a row under the Fight Lab banner, but he’s 9-1 overall when competing for the North Carolina based organization. Perhaps his most impressive win in that run was in 2013, when he knocked out Gamaliel “Chino” Duran (8-8) with a left high kick in just 59 seconds.
Check out both fights below as the fighters prepare to faced off at Big Guns 16 tonight.
