The Caged Madness 37 event that was scheduled to take place this weekend in New Philadelphia, Ohio has been postponed, the organization announced. The event will now take place on July 25 at the Tadmor Shrine in Akron, Ohio.
Explosive Fight Promotions matchmaker Scott Corbin made the annoucement on his Facebook page:
We are sad to announced that are [sic] show for June 27th in New Philadelphia has been postponed do [sic] to venue upgrades that need to be done. The new date for the show will be July 25th at the Tadmor Shrine in Akron Ohio.
BluegrassMMA learned that upgrades are needed to the West High Auto Showroom venue that hosted two previous Caged Madness events – Caged Madness 33 in January and Caged Madness 35 in April – before the organization can return.
No bouts are currently official for the event, but Corbin confirmed that each fighter who was scheduled to fight this weekend will be offered a spot on the July 25 event.
