Caged Madness 35

Caged Madness 35 went down last weekend, and the organization’s second trip to the West High Auto Showroom in New Philadelphia, Ohio seemed to be a success. We weren’t there live, but 14 fights went down and we have results courtesy of the Ohio Athletic Commission.

Of the 14 fights, 12 ended in the first round and it sounds like there were some exciting finishes, including super heavyweight Kyle McClain’s 32-second TKO victory over Christopher Harvey (0-1), undefeated bantamweight Sam Daviduk (3-0) extending his record with a 24-second submission over Charles Woods (2-2), and featherweight Victor Christian (1-0) making his debut with an 18-second TKO victory. But the quickest finish of the night went to bantamweight Ali Rexhepi (2-0), who knocked out Nathan Boyd (0-1) in just 12 seconds.

Caged Madness matchmaker Scott Corbin sounded happy after the event, having this to say on Facebook: “The focus for the card was going to be built on a lot of debuts, fighters looking for [their] start and getting their shot. The stage was set with a huge crowd for them to show what they had to offer. There were a lot of fights that didn’t make it out of the first, but to hear the crowd screaming, cheering and chanting you knew these fighters were there to put down and give the crowd a fight to remember.”

Every show and every fight there is always something to be learned,” he continued. “All but two fighters out of 32 stood to there contracts and there word, with that THANK YOU. I also would like to say thanks to the fighters and the fans for your continued support. To all the fighters that look to make your mark in MMA make sure to get with your local gym, putting in the work is key. Continue to evolve as a fighter by learning all aspects of the sport. This was just the beginning of your chapter, now write your story. God bless you all and Thanks for being apart of CAGED MADNESS. I look forward to working with you all again.”
