MANSFIELD, Oh. – We are live inside Fairhaven Hall at the Richland County Fairgrounds, where RFO: Big Guns 15 will take place tonight.
The event features four professional bouts, as well as 11 amateur contests, for a total of 15 bouts on the night.
In the main event, Josh Longood (1-0) will look to remain undefeated when he welcomes Jeff Mack (0-0, 11-3 am) to the professional ranks.
Another Mansfield native will compete in the co-feature, as Mike Williams (2-2) takes on late replacement Eric Bledsoe (2-1) in a fight that could steal the show.
All professional fighters made weight save for one, as Cody Gabelman (2-1) came in heavy for his flyweight bout against Dennis Brown (3-1). After a fine to Gabelman, the fight will still go on as planned at a catchweight.
The fourth professional bout that will kick off that portion of the card features heavyweights Jeff Hughes (1-0) and Leviticus Roberson (1-1).

After a quick exchange Poinar ends up on top. He was looking to do damage from guard while Windrum trapped his right arm. Poinar punched his way out and got his arm back, while Windrum looked to work rubber guard. Windrum grabbed his arm again and dove for the submission but Poinar wriggled out and looked for a knee bar attempt of his own. The round ended with Windrum on top looking to finish a rear naked choke. Incredibly close round and Windrum may have stolen in there at the end.
It looks like Poinar can’t see out of his left eye and the doctor takes a look in between rounds. Poinar can’t see and the fight is called off.
Fight 10 – Rich Cantolina (11-7) vs. Aaron Neighbors (10-6) – Amateur Featherweight Title
Result: Rich Cantolina (12-7) def. Aaron Neighbors (10-7) via submission (guillotine) – Round 1, 2:44
The two featherweights stand for the majority of the first round, trading right hands a leg kicks. Cantolina landed a leg kick, which Neighbors followed with a right hand that dropped the Pittsburgh native. Cantolina made it back to his feet, where he took a deep breath and used his height advantage to lock in a guillotine. He used it to take Neighbors to the ground, where he finished the choke from mount.
Fight 11 – Leviticus Roberson (1-1) vs. Jeff Hughes (1-0) – Pro Heavyweights
Result: Jeff Hughes (2-0) def. Leviticus Roberson (1-2) via TKO (didn’t answer bell) – Round 2, 5:00
Roberson rushes in for a takedown against the cage, and he’s looking to put Hughes on his back. Roberson bum rushes Hughes and gets the takedown, giving him a few shots for his trouble. Hughes is back up and threatens a guillotine, but they separate and Hughes lands a jab. Roberson clinches again. Back to the center. Hughes misses a kick and Roberson rushes in to get the takedown. Hughes looking to get back to his feet as Roberson is throwing punches under his arm, and Hughes face plants into the mat as he tries to escape. Roberson back on top. He rides out the round on top to take the first frame.
Hughes puts together a combination to start the second round and he’s looking to use his boxing here. Hughes with the clinch. Hughes slips backing up and Roberson ends up on top in half guard. Roberson mounts but Hughes scrambles and is back to his feet. Roberson is breathing heavy, but still gets the single leg takedown and is back in half guard. Hughes shrimps out back to guard and Roberson stands up. Hughes lands a big right hand. Roberson comes in throwing wild haymakers but and he has Hughes against the cage once again. Hughes separates and gets a single leg of his own. Hughes finishes out the round by getting mount and landing some shots from the top. Close round, but I’m giving it to Hughes on aggression.
Roberson can’t make it to his feet or to his corner between rounds. When the referee calls a start to the third round, Roberson is unable to make it to his feet and the fight is called off.
Fight 12 – Cody Gabelman (2-1) vs. Dennis Brown (3-1) – Pro 129 lbs Catchweight
Result: Cody Gabelman (3-1) def. Dennis Brown (3-2) via submission (rear naked choke) – Round 1, 1:05
Brown opens up with bad intentions, landing a big overhand right to counter Gabelman’s leg kick. Gabelman rushes in for a single leg which he gets, and then grabs Brown’s back. After readjusting, he locks in the rear naked choke and gets the tap.
Fight 13 – Eric Bledsoe (2-1) vs. Mike Williams (2-2) – Pro 150 lbs Catchweight
Result: Eric Bledsoe (3-1) def. Mike Wiliams (2-3) via TKO (strikes) – Round 1, 1:21
They open up striking, and Bledsoe lands a nasty little elbow as he pushes the pace. Bledsoe is opening up against the cage, and he drops Williams. Williams back to his feet, clinching against the cage. Bledsdoe with some nasty elbows and Williams drops again. Bledsoe with big shots from top. Williams turns his back and Bledsoe is in mount reigning down nasty elbows. The referee stops it and Williams has a nasty cut on his head.
Fight 14 – Josh Longood (1-0) vs. Jeff Mack (0-0) – Pro Bantamweights
Result: Josh Longood (2-0) def. Jeff Mack (0-1) via submission (arm bar) – Round 2, 2:28
Mack comes out aggressive and throws a big right hand, but Longood remains calm and follows in a nice knee. Longood with a jumping knee as he grabs a clinch against the cage. Longood looks for a takedown, but Mack stuffs it and gets one of his own. Longood immediately looking for a submission off of his back. Longood locks in the triangle as Mack looks to stack him. Mack is out, but Longood attempts an arm bar. It’s stuffed. Longood still threatening from his back but Mack is looking to make him pay with big shots from the top. Longood grabs an arm bar again and Mack slams his way out of it. Longood throws the legs up for an arm bar again but Mack wriggles out again. Mack staying heavy on top and he finishes the round like that. I have to give the first to Longood with all of the submission attempts.
Mack takes the center of the cage with Longood looking to circle. Mack throws a front leg head kick that grazes Lnogood. Longood now has the center and he lands a knee and a couple of elbows. Longood follows in another knee and throws two more elbows. Mack hits a nice lat drop to end up on top in half guard and he’s looking to pass. Longood looking for the arm bar again from bottom. He rolls Mack and has it deep. Mack struggles to get free and rolls again, but Longood wrenches it and gets the finish.
