For the second weekend in a row, the Ohio Valley is jam-packed with tons of great fights, filling up just about every state in our area. There are fights this weekend in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee, and pros on every card.

Things kick off tonight in Indianapolis with Midwest Fight Series, which the BluegrassMMA crew will be covering live. Then on Saturday, Team Bluegrass will be at both the IT Fight Series 30 event in Bellefontaine, Ohio, as well as the Warrior FC event in Kentucky. All of that, and we’ll also have a keen eye on the NAAFS and Valor Fights events as well, with great fight cards on tap for both.

Check out what’s on tap this weekend, and as always, be sure to return here to BluegrassMMA.com early next week for results, recaps, and more.[/tps_header]

IT Fight Series 30

January 31st – Bellefontaine, OH

IT Fight Series returns to Bellefontaine with a pro/am event that features an “Ohio vs. Georgia” theme. In the main event, Georgia flyweight C.J. Hamilton (4-2) is set to face Team Ohio’s Jarred Brooks (3-0). In another bout on the card, Tim McCavit (3-1) will square off with Caleb Fickert (2-1) in a pro welterweight contest.

A pair of amateur titles will also be on the line, as Treg Wells (5-3) will face Bo Smith (6-1), who is returning after a five year absence from the cage. At light heavyweight, Jahci Lyles (3-0) will put his unbeaten record on the line when he faces Georgia’s Jay Gray (5-1) at 205 pounds. Lyles has been incredibly impressive thus far in his career, finishing all three of his bouts via TKO in the first round, with an average fight time of just 57 seconds. Gray has been impressive as well, as he is currently riding a five-fight winning streak after dropping his debut fight.
