Following one of their most successful events to date, IT Fight Series will head to Bellefontaine, Ohio on Jan. 31 to kick off 2015 with their 30th event.
Promoter and owner Scott Sheeley owns a gym in Bellefontaine, and many fighters from his Iron Tiger Fight Team are expected to compete. IT Fight Series will also be bringing in a pair of gyms from Georgia to participate in the “Georgia vs. Ohio” event. The card is expected to feature both pro and amateur bouts.
The organization held IT Fight Series 29 in Columbus over the weekend, their second trip to Ohio’s capital city and one of their biggest events to date. The event featured a pair of UFC veterans, as Dan Spohn (9-4) and Albert Cheng (3-3) both picked up dominant first round finishes on the night. The event also featured the successful pro debut of top amateur fighter Chico Bays (1-0), and Alfred Leisure (3-0) bested Mike Velazquez (3-2) in a fight of the year candidate to stay unbeaten.
The organization also recently announced that it will give out year-end awards in 10 categories for standout performances inside their cage during 2014.
