If you want to know what 3 Points is all about, you just have to understand the ‘Three Points’ of their personality. Art, Experience, Beer – in that order. The brewery hopes to elevate the idea of what it means to hang out in a brewery. Don’t expect picnic tables or cornhole at this place. Think lots of open air, artwork and hand crafted furniture, it’s going to be beautiful as well as delicious.
Yes, we keep hearing about this craft beer bubble and sometimes the opening of a new brewery can seem like just another brewery, but 3 Points is so much more than that. For one, they’re a big part of the rejuvenation of Pendleton, a section of downtown that used to be one restaurant and a bunch of empty buildings.
The beer itself is on point too, with the brewery focusing more on classic, straight down the middle styles, rather than off-the-wall options. They’ve got everything from a smooth cream ale (Easy Ale) to an Oatmeal Stout (Sinking Orca), and I was a big fan of their Origami (Post Coast IPA) and Rattle & Shake (Vienna lager). They’ve also recently added a double IPA called TCB’N that comes in at a nice piney 8.9% ABV.
In short, 3 Points has some unique offerings in a cool space, with plenty of room for a crowd in a crowded market.
