Tru-Form Entertainment made its debut in the Hoosier State over the weekned, as “Gladiators” featured nine bouts put together by matchmaker Bobby Emmons.
In the main event, Tom Shoaff (8-2) was upset by Cliff Wright Jr. (9-7), who tapped him with a rear naked choke in the first round. The 36-year-old Iowa native Wright snapped a two-fight losing streak, as he picked up the ninth submission win of his career. It was a stunning loss for Shoaff, who appeared to be on the UFC’s short list after having just one loss previously.
In the co-main event, heavyweight Cory Moon (4-2) returned to action for the first time since 2013, as he stopped Danny Surface (3-4) via TKO in the first round.
Popular Indianapolis fighter Sean Fallon (3-4) picked up his third career win, as he took home a unanimous decision with scores of 29-28 across the board in his bout against Kendrick Terry (1-4).
Another Indianapolis native lost for just the second time in his career, as James Mogollon (5-2) was knocked out by Jordan Hinman (5-3) 25 seconds into the third round.
According to Emmons, TFE is expected to return to Indianapolis early next year, with a tentative date of January 30 already set.
