We’re just over three weeks away from RFO’s debut at the Summit County Fairgrounds, as Big Guns 16 – The Summit takes place on August 22 in Tallmade, Ohio. RFO promoter Matt Trukovich and matchmaker Scott Corbin have been busy at work on the event, and now a dozen matchups are set to go down.
As previously reported, the top two fights will feature professionals, as Frank Caraballo takes on Keith Richardson in the main event, while heavyweights Curt Lemmon and Jeff Hughes throw down in the co-headliner.
A third pro bout has also been added to the event, as Tony Dipiero (0-0, 9-7 am) will make his professional debut against Kyle Dunmeyer (0-2). The 35-year-old Dipiero makes his professional debut after a 16-fight amateur career dating all the way back to 2009. The middleweight ended his amateur career with wins in three of his last four, including victories over John Burbol, Garrett Dush, and Mike Schimek. Western Pennsylvania native Dunmeyer has had a rough start to his pro career after posting a 7-0 amateur record. The 22-year-old has dropped back-to-back fights to Elijah Gbollie and Dann Cucuta over the past 14 months.
A pair of veteran amateurs will also suare off, as Aaron Neighbors (10-7) faces Ryan Arce (6-3) at 135 pounds. Neighbors had a three-fight winning streak snapped by Rich Cantolina in his last outing, while Arce submitted Spencer Tuttle via arm bar at the same RFO event in March.
The rest of the card features notable amateur veterans and newcomers alike, including Aaron Bush (4-1) vs. Ray Hollis (4-3), Tyler Bostick (6-2) vs. Tony Hodges (4-4), and more.
