Just three weeks after making their debut in Lexington, Turf Wars will return to their home base in Northern Kentucky later this month when Turf Wars 26 takes place at Turfway Park in Florence.

Two familiar faces will be in action on the night, as veteran Cincinnati area natives Billy “Mojo” Horne (13-4) and Shaun Asher (9-2) return to the Turf Wars cage.

Horne, who is currently riding a five-fight winning streak including three under the Turf Wars banner, will have a tough out when he faces veteran Portland Pringle (6-4). Despite losing his last three, Pringle is a well-rounded fighter who has earned stoppages in all six of his victories. Horne continues a career renaissance as he is still fighting for a potential chance at one of the world’s major organizations.

Asher will be looking to bounce back from his first loss since 2012, as he traveled to Canada in May and was submitted in the first round by Misha Cirkunov at Hard Knocks 43. He’ll be facing T.J. Eskew (2-6), who will be competing for the fourth time already in 2015 and is 1-2 in his first three fights.

Also on the pro portion of the card will be Indiana native Quinn Broomfield (3-3), who returns to the cage for the first time since 2013. Broomfield looks to snap out of a two-fight losing streak as he takes on Christopher Nelson (0-1) at bantamweight.

Turf Wars bantamweight champion Zachary Baker (0-0, 5-0 am) will also make his pro debut, as he takes on Darnell Pettis (0-3), who is still looking to notch his first win in the pro ranks. Baker finished four of his five opponents as an amateur, including a 28 second knockout of Scott Wegman in January that earned him Turf Wars gold. Pettis had a solid 8-3 record as an amateur, but he has come up short in his first three outings as a pro.

Seven bouts are currently announced for the June 20th event, but more are expected to be added to the card in the near future. Stay tuned to BluegrassMMA.com for more information as it becomes available.
