Firehouse Grill Brewery
4785 Lake Forest Dr, Blue Ash
Firehouse Grill Brewery is a great example of what’s old is new again. On the same site of the former Watson Brothers brewpub that closed in 2005, Firehouse Grill has long been known as one of the best beer-focused restaurants in Cincinnati.
In 2020, the restaurant decided to get back into the brewing game with its own on-site 7-barrel brewhouse.
The brewery still offers guest beers in addition to their own, and their restaurant features sandwiches, burgers, pizza and entrees like fish & chips.
The brewery operations briefly paused in 2022 when they lost their brewmaster, but they held a grand reopening in 2023, naming Kurt Hilgefort (formerly of Swine City Brewing) as their new head brewer.
Must-try beer: Blue Ash Brown (brown ale) – I can never get enough brown ales. This one is light at just 4.8% and is reminiscent of an English mild.
Other great beers: Aves Amber, Summit Saison
